Loop Turners, Bodkins & Elastic Threaders NZ
Turn sewn fabric tubes right side out, or pull elastic, ribbon and cord through a casing. Choose a loop turner, turning set or bodkin for the job, then check that the tool suits the tube or casing.
Loop turner or bodkin: choose for the sewing task
Turn a sewn tube or strap
Use a loop turner or turning set to bring a sewn fabric tube right side out. Compare the tool’s length and diameter with the tube, seam allowance and fabric. Follow the selected tool’s method for narrow button loops, ties, straps or bag handles.
Thread a casing
A bodkin or elastic inserter helps guide elastic, ribbon, cord or tape through a fabric channel. Check how it holds the material and whether the tool and attached material will pass through your casing. Keep elastic flat as you feed it and leave the end accessible before joining.
Finish the project
Choose elastic for the garment and casing, or compare bag-making supplies for straps and handles. For threading a needle eye, browse the separate needle-threader range.
