JUKI MO-6716DA · 5-thread safety stitching
Join the seam.
Finish the edge.
The JUKI MO-6716DA-DE4-40H combines a strong chainstitch seam with a neatly overlocked edge in one operation. Built for medium- to heavyweight general fabrics, it is a practical choice for garment makers and busy workrooms sewing trousers, workwear, jackets and home textiles.
Its semi-dry head helps reduce oil splashing around the sewing area, while the supplied direct-drive servo motor gives you adjustable speed and needle positioning for controlled everyday sewing.
Standard setup, with optional 5×5 conversion
The stocked MO-6716DADE440H has a 3.2mm needle gauge and 4.0mm overedge width as standard. A 5×5 conversion is available at additional cost and is not included in the displayed machine price. Contact us for a conversion quote before ordering.
A closer look
See the semi-dry technology
JUKI applies its semi-dry design to the needle-bar and upper-looper mechanisms, helping reduce oil splashing close to your fabric.

Needle-bar mechanism
The highlighted needle-bar assembly uses JUKI’s dry-head technology. Reducing oil in this area helps keep the sewing area cleaner.

Upper-looper mechanism
The upper-looper drive also uses semi-dry technology, with grease filler openings for maintenance. Other mechanisms still require normal oil lubrication.

Made for productive seam construction
Five threads. One efficient operation.
A five-thread safety stitch combines a three-thread overlock at the cut edge with a separate two-thread chainstitch that joins the fabric. The result is a joined seam and a finished edge without moving the work to a second machine for those two steps.
Built for medium–heavy fabrics
The 40H subclass is designed for general-fabric seam joining, with an extra-high-throw upper looper. Use it for suitable woven garment and workwear fabrics; send us a sample if you need help checking a particular material combination.
Less oil around your work
Semi-dry technology in the needle-bar and upper-looper mechanisms helps reduce oil splashing. The rest of the machine retains automatic lubrication, so normal oil checks and maintenance are still required.
Control at your pace
The supplied direct-drive servo motor provides adjustable sewing speed without a continuously running clutch motor. Needle positioning helps make stopping and handling the next section of work more consistent.
Adjustable fabric feed
Differential feed lets you tune how the fabric travels through the machine. Adjust it alongside stitch length, thread tension and needle choice to suit your seam and material.
