Industrial Sewing Machine Needles NZ
INDUSTRIAL NEEDLES · MATCH THE SYSTEM FIRST
Find the system your machine actually uses.
Shop industrial sewing machine needles in New Zealand for plainsewers, walking-foot machines, overlockers, coverseam and specialist equipment. Browse by system or application, then check the required size and point against your machine specification.
How to identify an industrial needle system
System, size and point are three separate choices
A system such as DBx1 or DPx5 identifies the needle geometry used by the machine. Size, often shown as an Nm/size pair, describes needle thickness. The point determines how the needle enters the material. Match all three, including any suffixes, rather than buying by machine brand alone.
Use the system buttons when you know the code
DBx1 is used by many compatible industrial plainsewers; B27/DCx27 is a common industrial-overlocker family. DPx17/135x17 and UY128 GAS serve different machine applications. These groupings are navigation aids, not a statement that every machine in an application uses that system.
Round points and leather points
Leather needles use cutting points appropriate to particular seam appearances and materials. A leather point is not automatically suitable for woven fabric, coated material or every leather project. Check both the machine's system requirement and the point designation specified for the work.
Specialist machines and repeat ordering
Bag closers, blind hemmers, button-sewing machines, embroidery heads and carpet overlockers can use very different needles. Keep a verified packet reference with the machine, and check pack quantities on each listing. Browse Schmetz needles or industrial machines; for identification, provide the complete machine model and current needle code.
