The Sew Easy Dresden Plate Ruler helps you mark and cut the tapered fabric pieces used in classic Dresden Plate patchwork. Repeating the same shape keeps your pieces consistent, ready to stitch into a decorative fan or circular block.
Its arched top allows rounded or pointed petal designs, giving you a choice of finishes for quilts, cushion fronts and smaller patchwork projects.

Getting started
Choose a Dresden Plate pattern and follow its instructions for strip width, wedge quantity and seam allowance. Align the ruler consistently for each piece, then mark or cut your wedges. The finished block size depends on the pieces you cut and the design you follow.
