      Your two colours

MODE at Rowan Alpaca Cotton, in 25g balls.

Colour A: shown in Soft Satin 017.
Colour B: shown in Snowflake 014.

Select each shade separately in the builder. Colour letters follow Rowan’s pattern. The two colours need different quantities.

Order the full quantity of each shade together. Contact us if you need help checking dye lots. Using one shade for both colours changes the contrast; the builder combines the ball quantities in your cart.

Find your fit & yarn quantities

Choose by your body chest measurement, then compare the finished garment measurement. Dunwich is a fitted design; these finished measurements are taken from Rowan’s material sheet. Quantities are 25g balls of Alpaca Cotton.

The builder uses these same quantities. Extra length or other alterations may require more yarn.

      Needles & finishing tools

      • One pair of 3.5mm straight needles.
      • One pair of 3.75mm straight needles.
      • Stitch holders.

Choose KnitPro Zing or KnitPro Symfonie 35cm straight needles; each package includes both sizes. No cables are needed. Add the set of three stitch holders if you do not already own them.

A tapestry needle for sewing in ends, a measuring tape and scissors are useful finishing tools; these are not automatically added.

      Tension & care

      26 stitches × 30 rows to 10cm over rib using 3.75mm needles.

Make a tension square and adjust your needle size if needed. Follow the yarn label for care instructions.

      What you will receive

Pattern only: one MIP5 Dunwich knitting pattern. Yarn and tools are not included.

Build my project: the selected Colour A and Colour B quantities, plus the pattern and tools you select. Untick the pattern if you already own it. Each item appears in the cart, with the colour role and ball quantity shown on the yarn lines.

Review the summary before adding your project. Items you have not selected, and the finished garment, are not included.

      Before you cast on

Can I use my own needles or pattern?

Yes. Leave the own-needles option selected if you have both required sizes. Untick the pattern if you already own it, and select stitch holders only if you need them.

What happens if I choose the same shade twice?

The summary still shows the quantity for each colour role. The cart combines matching yarn variants into one line, showing the Colour A and Colour B quantities. The colour contrast will differ from the photographed design.
