Find your fit & yarn quantity
Choose by your body chest measurement, then compare the finished garment measurement to judge the room you prefer. The builder uses these same quantities.

|---|---|---|
| 71–76cm | 108cm | 15 |
| 81–86cm | 114cm | 16 |

Ball counts cover the published design at the stated tension. Extra length or other alterations may require more yarn. Finished chest measurements follow Rowan’s garment-information sheet.
Needles & finishing tools
- 4.5mm straight needles.
- stitch holders · set of 3.
- MIO locking stitch markers · 30 pack.
These straight-needle options do not need cables.
Needle options include every needle size listed above, including DPNs where required. Stitch holders, markers and cable needles are selected separately. A tapestry needle for sewing in ends, measuring tape and scissors are useful finishing tools; these are not automatically added.
Tension & care
Stocking stitch: 19 stitches × 26 rows to 10cm. Rib: 25 stitches × 29 rows to 10cm. Both use 4.5mm needles with yarn held double.
Make a tension square and adjust your needle size if needed. The correct tension matters for fit and yarn use.
Follow the care instructions on the yarn label. Shape and dry your finished knitting flat.

Before you cast on
Can I use my own needles, cables or pattern?
Yes. Leave the own-needles option selected, or add needles and untick their cables if you have the compatible lengths listed. Untick the pattern if you already own it.
Can I change the length or use a different yarn?
The quantities apply to the published design and the yarn choices shown here. Contact us to check quantities before making alterations or substituting yarn.
Do I double the ball count?
No. Rowan’s quantities already cover knitting with two strands together. The builder adds the total balls needed for your size.
