The builder uses these published ball quantities. Extra length or alterations may require more yarn. All sizes also use a 40cm circular needle; the longer body circular changes with size.
Needles & finishing tools
4mm circular needles: 40cm and 80cm; a 4mm DPN set for the cuffs is included in both packages. Rowan also permits magic loop for the cuffs. Body: one 80cm-labelled cable with regular 13cm tips. A separate 40cm-labelled cable pairs with the short 10cm tips. Choose own cables only if you have both compatible lengths.
4mm circular needles: 40cm and 120cm; a 4mm DPN set for the cuffs is included in both packages. Rowan also permits magic loop for the cuffs. Body: one 120cm-labelled cable with regular 13cm tips. A separate 40cm-labelled cable pairs with the short 10cm tips. Choose own cables only if you have both compatible lengths.
4mm circular needles: 40cm and 160cm; a 4mm DPN set for the cuffs is included in both packages. Rowan also permits magic loop for the cuffs. The body setup uses joined cables; its assembled length is approximate. Body: join the 120cm-labelled and 60cm-labelled cables using the 50mm connector from the included set, then attach the regular tips. This creates an approximately 160cm circular needle. A separate 40cm-labelled cable pairs with the short 10cm tips. Choose own cables only if you have both compatible lengths and any required connector.
The pattern requires 10 stitch markers, stitch holders and a cable needle. The optional marker pack contains 30 markers.
For joined setups, cable labels describe a cable with tips attached, not its bare length. Follow the stated cable combination, tighten the connector with its key and check the assembled length before casting on.
A tapestry needle, measuring tape and scissors are useful finishing tools; these are not automatically added.
Tension & care
21 stitches × 32 rows/rounds to 10cm over stocking stitch using 4mm needles. The lace panel measures 14cm across 31 stitches.
Make a tension square and adjust your needle size if needed. Follow the yarn labels for care instructions.
What you will receive
Pattern only: one MIP56 Lise knitting pattern leaflet. Yarn and tools are not included.
Build my project: yarn for the selected size, plus the pattern and tools you select. Untick the pattern if you already own it. Your cart records the size and yarn quantities.
Before you begin
Can I use my own tools or pattern?
Yes. Select only what you need. The own-cables option removes both the short and body cables, plus the connector where applicable; needle tips remain selected.
Why does the needle package change with size?
Rowan specifies different body circular lengths as the garment grows. The builder selects the matching cable or joined-cable setup for your chosen size, while retaining the separate 40cm circular.
