Needles required for the hat

For the version knitted flat:

  • One set of 6mm double-pointed needles

  • One pair of 7mm knitting needles
  • One 7mm circular needle, 40cm long, for the neckband
  • Cable needle
  • Stitch marker
  • Yarn needle for sewing and finishing

Tension

For the hat, the pattern tension is 18 stitches and 21 rows to 10cm measured over the rib pattern using 6mm needles.

Follow the project-specific tension instructions inside the leaflet for the cable and rib fabric used in the bib. Always knit a tension swatch before beginning.
