      Needles & finishing tools

      • 5mm straight needles.
      • 5.5mm straight needles.
      • 5mm circular needles, for neck and armbands; builder offers 40cm.
      • stitch holders · set of 3.
      • MIO locking stitch markers · 30 pack.

Cable lengths are the completed circular length including tips. The selected cables, end caps and key are included unless you already own them. Rowan specifies 5mm circular needles for the neck and armbands without a cable length. The builder offers a short 40cm circular; choose another compatible cable if your working method requires it.

Needle options include every needle size listed above, including DPNs where required. Stitch holders, markers and cable needles are selected separately. A tapestry needle for sewing in ends, measuring tape and scissors are useful finishing tools; these are not automatically added.

      Tension & care

18 stitches × 24 rows to 10cm over stocking stitch using 5.5mm needles.

Make a tension square and adjust your needle size if needed. The correct tension matters for fit and yarn use.

Follow the care instructions on the yarn label. Shape and dry your finished knitting flat.
