Exactly how many spools are included?
The box contains 12 Minikings: four 8000 Black, four 8010 White and four 8100 Pearl Grey. Every spool contains 1200 metres.
Is this one spool or a choose-your-colour product?
No. This is one complete pre-packed box containing all 12 spools and all three listed colours.
Will it fully thread my four-thread overlocker?
Yes. Each colour has four matching spools, enough for the two needle and two looper paths of a standard four-thread overlock stitch.
What about a three- or five-thread stitch?
A three-thread stitch uses three spools and leaves one spare. A five-thread stitch requires a fifth spool if every path must match, so you would need an additional Aerolock spool in that colour.
Can I use this thread on a domestic overlocker?
Yes, provided the machine accepts Miniking spools and No. 125 overlock thread. Fit the correct spool holders and follow the machine manual. It can also be used with suitable industrial and coverlock machines.
How is Aerolock different from Aeroflock?
Aerolock is a strong, smooth core-spun construction thread suitable for needle and looper paths. Aeroflock is a fluffy textured thread used mainly in loopers for soft, stretchy coverage. Aeroflock is not included in this box.
Is this the same as the 2500m Aerolock cone?
The thread family and No. 125 construction are Aerolock, but this box contains compact 1200m Minikings. The separately sold 2500m product uses a larger Kingspool.
Which colour should I use when nothing matches exactly?
Choose the neutral closest in lightness to the fabric: White for pale fabrics, Black for dark fabrics and Pearl Grey for many mid-tones or prints. Test the seam because thread can show when the fabric stretches.
