Choosing holders, cords & protectors
Move stitches off the needle: Rigid holders keep a group of live stitches aside while you shape another section. Compare the holder’s length with the number of stitches you need to hold. Flexible holder cords work differently; follow the cord listing’s instructions when transferring stitches from a needle tip.
Cap or cover the points: Point protectors and silicone stoppers help keep stitches on the needle. Circular-needle protector tubes cover the tips during storage. Match the listed needle diameter and accessory type; Clover Small point protectors are specified for 2–6.5 mm needles, while other packs cover larger sizes.
Check the contents: Choose a single holder or an assorted set, and check the number of cords, caps or protectors supplied. Needles and yarn are separate. System-specific threaded cable end stoppers require a matching interchangeable cable and are a different accessory from push-on needle caps.
