Selected knits, garment denim and varied seam stacks when needle point, needle size, thread, pressure, tension and speed are correctly matched.
Repeated bulky denim intersections, heavy canvas, webbing, leather, vinyl, foam-backed upholstery or layered work that may need a heavier subclass or compound feed.
For stretch garments: a straight lockstitch can perform selected construction operations on suitable knits, but it does not replace an industrial overlocker for stretch seams or a coverstitch machine for hems.
