Choosing the right sewing elastic
Flat elastic or fold-over elastic?
Flat elastic is useful in suitable casings, waistbands and other garment applications. Fold-over elastic has a central fold for binding an edge and is useful for bag pockets and similar finishes. Follow your pattern rather than swapping styles simply because the widths sound similar.
How is fold-over width measured?
