The opening is approximately 2.5cm, but thickness alone does not guarantee a good grip—the edge shape and material also matter.
- Choose a rigid section that will not bend under the lamp’s weight.
- Keep the complete clip in even contact with the surface.
- Avoid fragile book pages, thin screens and delicate finishes.
- Do not force the jaws over an edge that is too thick.
- Support the clip while repositioning the flexible arm.
