Clover 610 Adjustable Ring Thimble

$5.90

Clover · Hand sewing thimble

A little extra support for hand stitching.

Push a hand sewing needle from a firm metal surface instead of pressing its eye against your finger. The Clover 610 ring thimble adjusts around your finger and leaves the fingertip open. Its dimpled outer surface gives the end of the needle a place to rest as you stitch.

Thicker needles

Useful when hand sewing requires a thicker needle and a firmer surface to push against.

Open-finger feel

Choose a ring shape if you prefer your fingertip uncovered while holding the fabric.

A compact sewing kit

Keep it beside your hand needles for repairs and small stitching jobs that call for extra finger support.

Before you start

  1. Adjust the ring to sit securely without pinching your finger.
  2. Rest the eye end of the needle against a dimple and push in a controlled movement.
  3. Reposition the fabric as needed. If the needle resists, check its size and the fabric layers before pushing harder.

This is the plain ring, not the 611 version with a projecting plate. Choose the plate version for a different pushing position when working long running stitches.

Good to know

Is it a needle gripper?

No. It provides a surface for pushing the needle; it is not a rubber grip for pulling it through.

Does it cover the whole fingertip?

No. The ring design leaves the fingertip exposed. Adjust the fit before use.
