Binder sizing & compatibility
Industrial plain-sewing attachments
The A10 is a double-fold binder set with a binder, throat plate, presser foot and feed dog. Its size selector refers to cut tape width; use its chart for the finished binding width. The A4 and S64 are single-fold options for compatible setups. The A11 is different: it folds the material itself into a hem rather than applying a separate binding tape.
Walking-foot & shell binders
For heavier materials and raw-edge tape, compare shell binders and the 1245-specific options. On the K2-style shell binder listing, “25 × 8” means 25mm tape feed and an 8mm material opening—not an 8mm finished binding. The KHF2 1245 binder uses 26mm tape with a choice of opening. Confirm the model, mounting points, foot and plate arrangement; a walking-foot label does not make an attachment universal.
Industrial coverseam / coverstitch binders
Choose the mounting arrangement before the size: S123 is post-mounted and S124 is flat-mounted. Both listings have fold-type options, with Type A labelled 3 Fold and Type B labelled 4 Fold. The selected millimetre size is the finished binding width. Confirm the required tape input for that exact size and fold configuration before cutting a batch.
Domestic coverstitch machines
Brother SA231CV, SA230CV and SA222CV are different accessories with their own compatible-machine lists and tape requirements. For example, SA231CV can fold 32mm tape to an 8mm double-fold finish. The Janome CoverPro item here is a short-toe binder foot, not a complete tape-binding kit. Check the model, attachment contents and any separately required parts on the product page.
Domestic bias-binding feet
Find model-specific binding feet for Singer, Brother, Janome and JUKI sewing machines. The 5mm, 7mm and 9mm labels on the Janome feet refer to machine categories, not finished binding width. JUKI's 40080954 listing, by contrast, describes an approximately 5mm binding finish. Check the compatible models, foot fitting, tape instructions and needle clearance rather than choosing by brand alone.
Folders, mounting parts & tape guides
A hand-held bias tape maker prepares tape for pressing; it does not mount to an industrial sewing machine. Swing-away folders can move out of the sewing path when not needed. Spare binder feet, plates, screws, reel holders and tape feeders are also listed here, but are not complete binders. Match part numbers and check what is supplied before building a setup.
