Your yarn choices
MODE at Rowan Alpaca Cotton 25g. Shell and colour-block Heydon A: Foliage Green 018. Solid Heydon: Charcoal Melange 012. Choose your own shade.
Colour-block Heydon B is photographed in Feather Grey Melange 013.
Shell uses two 25g balls held double. Heydon uses one 25g ball for solid, or one ball each of Colour A and Colour B for colour block; the hat yarn is used singly. Quantities already cover the selected project.
Order the full amount of each shade together; contact us for help checking dye lots.
Project sizing & yarn quantities
Each accessory has one size. Heydon is designed for an average adult woman’s head; the 38cm figure is the finished hat circumference, not a head measurement.

Each addition supplies one selected project. To make both designs, add each separately and include the leaflet only once. Extra length or alterations may require more yarn.
Needles & finishing tools
Shell: 4.5mm double-pointed needles. Shell requires stitch markers and stitch holders.
Heydon flat: 4mm straight needles. No additional specialised tool is listed for Heydon. An optional pompom is not included.
Heydon in the round: 4mm double-pointed needles. No additional specialised tool is listed for Heydon. An optional pompom is not included.
No circular cables are required for this selection.
A tapestry needle, measuring tape and scissors are useful finishing tools; these are not automatically added.
Tension & care
Shell: 18 stitches × 25 rows to 10cm over rib using 4.5mm needles with yarn held double.
Heydon: 24 stitches × 27 rows to 10cm over rib using 4mm needles.
Make a tension square and adjust your needle size if needed. Follow the yarn label for care instructions.

Build my project: yarn for the selected project, version and size, plus the pattern and tools you select. Untick the pattern if you already own it. Your cart records your selection.

Can I use my own tools or pattern?
Yes. Select only what you need. Check needle sizes and any required circular lengths before choosing own tools or cables.
Can I make the whole set?
Add one project at a time, then return and choose the other design. Include the leaflet once and untick it for later additions. Buy the full yarn quantity for each project.
