      Ball counts cover the published design at the stated tension. Extra length or other alterations may require more yarn. Finished chest measurements follow Rowan’s garment-information sheet.

      Needles & finishing tools

      Cable lengths are the completed circular length including tips. The selected cables, end caps and key are included unless you already own them. Both circular needles are 80cm, meeting Rowan’s minimum. Each DPN pack contains five needles; the pattern calls for four.

      Needle options include every needle size listed above, including DPNs where required. Stitch holders, markers and cable needles are selected separately. A tapestry needle for sewing in ends, measuring tape and scissors are useful finishing tools; these are not automatically added.

      Tension & care

      22 stitches × 32 rows to 10cm over pattern stitch using 5mm needles.

      Make a tension square and adjust your needle size if needed. The correct tension matters for fit and yarn use.

      Follow the care instructions on the yarn label. Shape and dry your finished knitting flat.

      Can I use my own needles, cables or pattern?

      Yes. Leave the own-needles option selected, or add needles and untick their cables if you have the compatible lengths listed. Untick the pattern if you already own it.

      Can I change the length or use a different yarn?

      The quantities apply to the published design and the yarn choices shown here. Contact us to check quantities before making alterations or substituting yarn.
