Designed for socks, cuffs, sleeves and fine-gauge tubes, the red MINI Shorties set combines six sizes in both 5cm and 8cm tip lengths with three flexible red cables. Mix the two tip lengths to balance comfort and circumference.

Cable lengths are measured without tips. A “differential” uses one 5cm tip and one 8cm tip—many knitters keep the longer tip in their working hand.

Manufacturer note: use the shortest 13cm cable only with two 5cm tips. Longer tips need the 15cm or 20cm cable to curve comfortably.

How many tip pairs are included?
Twelve pairs: six sizes, each supplied as one 5cm pair and one 8cm pair.
Is 3mm included?
Yes. The six sizes are 2, 2.25, 2.5, 2.75, 3 and 3.25mm.
What is the shortest circular?
Two 5cm tips plus the 13cm cable make an approximately 23cm / 9-inch circular.
Can the 13cm cable be used with 8cm tips?
No. ChiaoGoo specifies the 13cm cable for two 5cm tips only.
What is a differential setup?
It uses one 5cm tip and one 8cm tip. The longer tip is commonly placed in the working hand for a more comfortable grip.
Can MINI parts connect to Small or Large?
Not directly. MINI [M], Small [S] and Large [L] are different threaded join sizes.
Do all tips have tightening holes?
Yes. The 7230-M tips are solid steel and include tightening holes. These should not be confused with cable-end lifeline holes.
Is this a good alternative to DPNs or Magic Loop?
Yes for projects whose circumference fits the approximately 23–36cm combinations. Technique preference and stitch count still matter.
