Choosing a spool pin or spool cap
Pin, cap or separate stand? A spool pin supports the upper-thread spool; a retaining cap or holder controls its position on the pin. An auxiliary pin adds a spool position only on the compatible machine. Freestanding cone holders and thread-feeding stands are a separate range, as are bobbin cases and holders used around the lower-thread system.
Check the exact fitting: Match the machine model, original part reference and mounting arrangement. For caps, compare the required size and pin fit as well as the spool being used. Large, medium, small and extra-small descriptions do not establish interchangeability between brands or models.
Read the individual listing: Compare what is supplied, particularly a double-spool-pin plate versus an individual pin. For the Brother medium spool cap, confirm the current part number and machine compatibility with us before ordering. Similar shape or the same manufacturer is not enough to establish compatibility.
