210mm workspace
Gain more room to the right of the needle for quilts, bags and larger garment sections.
Bring greater space, precision and creative freedom to garments, quilts and home projects. The Brother Innov-is NV1300 combines 240 built-in stitches, a generous 210mm workspace, Square Feed Drive System, automatic thread control, sideways sewing, My Custom Stitch and an included knee lift.
The Brother NV1300 is designed for dressmakers, quilters and creative sewists who need more room and control than a compact domestic machine can provide.
Its 210mm workspace accommodates larger garment sections, quilt blocks, bags and home-décor projects without making the machine excessively heavy or difficult to transport.
Automatic thread tension, needle threading and thread cutting streamline setup and finishing, while Brother’s Square Feed Drive System provides smooth, controlled material movement.
The extensive stitch library, sideways sewing and My Custom Stitch system add creative capability for users who want to move beyond basic construction.
The Brother NV1300 does not embroider and does not use embroidery hoops.
Its decorative patterns, lettering and My Custom Stitch designs are sewn as the fabric feeds normally beneath the presser foot.
This makes it suitable for garment sewing, quilting, patchwork, appliqué and creative feed-through stitching.
The NV1300 includes the core equipment required for garment construction, decorative sewing, patchwork and general quilting techniques.
Gain more room to the right of the needle for quilts, bags and larger garment sections.
Brother’s extended feed mechanism helps move material smoothly and consistently.
Use utility, quilting, decorative, heirloom, sideways-feed and lettering patterns.
The machine provides an appropriate starting tension for the selected stitch.
Cut the upper and bobbin threads using one direct machine control.
Sew supported stitches in multiple directions without rotating the complete project.
Create, edit and save original feed-through decorative stitch patterns.
Raise the presser foot while keeping both hands on the fabric.
The larger opening gives quilt blocks, bag panels, home furnishings and garment sections more room to move beneath the machine arm.
This reduces the amount of folding and bunching required when working with larger projects.
The removable accessory compartment converts the machine to a free arm for sleeves, trouser hems and other tubular sewing.
Brother’s Square Feed Drive System uses an extended seven-point feed-dog arrangement to maintain broad contact with the underside of the fabric.
The feed dogs move material smoothly through the stitch cycle, supporting consistent stitch length and reliable seam alignment.
This is valuable when working with garment fabrics, patchwork pieces and layered projects.
Utility, decorative, quilting, heirloom, lettering and multi-directional options.
The NV1300 provides stitches for garment construction, stretch materials, overcasting, quilting, appliqué and decorative sewing.
Five lettering fonts allow names, labels and wording to be stitched as the fabric feeds beneath the presser foot.
Compatible patterns can be combined, edited and saved in machine memory for later use.
Select stitch numbers using the direct ten-key touch panel and view the recommended settings on the LCD screen.
The display shows stitch width, stitch length, presser-foot recommendations and active machine functions.
Pattern combinations and personalised settings can be stored for future projects.
The machine selects a recommended upper-thread tension for the chosen stitch and sewing application.
When a specialist fabric, thread or technique requires adjustment, the tension can be changed in fine 0.2 increments.
This combination provides convenient automatic setup while retaining the control experienced sewists expect.
Press the thread-cutter button and the NV1300 trims both the upper and bobbin threads.
Automatic cutting reduces repeated scissor handling during garment construction, patchwork chain piecing and decorative sewing.
The machine can also be programmed to perform reinforcement stitching and cutting at the end of suitable seams.
Use the reinforcement button to secure the beginning or end of a seam.
Depending on the selected stitch, the machine can sew reverse stitches or compact reinforcement stitches.
This is useful for garment construction, top stitching, patchwork and decorative patterns where a clean finish is required.
Supported stitch patterns can feed the fabric forwards, backwards and sideways.
This is useful in project areas where rotating the complete garment, bag or quilt would be difficult.
Multi-directional feeding also allows wider decorative patterns to be created.
Sew around selected patches without continually rotating the fabric.
Reach structured corners and compact project areas.
Add stitching where turning a full panel or quilt is inconvenient.
Create effects broader than the machine’s ordinary stitch width.
Design an original feed-through sewing stitch by plotting individual stitch points onto a grid.
Completed patterns can be adjusted, stored in the machine and reused on future projects.
My Custom Stitch is ideal for adding personalised decorative borders and repeating motifs.
My Custom Stitch creates ordinary feed-through sewing patterns. It does not convert artwork or photographs into embroidery files.
Place the button into Buttonhole Foot A and allow the machine to determine the required buttonhole length.
The complete buttonhole is sewn automatically in one continuous operation.
Ten styles provide options for shirts, jackets, stretch fabrics, heirloom projects and home furnishings.
Use the supplied knee lift to raise the presser foot while both hands remain on the project.
This is especially useful when aligning patchwork intersections, positioning appliqué pieces or controlling layered fabrics.
The 210mm workspace, drop feed, knee lift and strong fabric-feeding system make the NV1300 a capable quilting machine.
Use the strong feed system for smooth, consistent quilt seams.
Lower the feed dogs and guide the quilt manually with an optional foot.
Add an optional walking foot and wide table for larger layered projects.
Use adjustable speed and needle-down control for detailed shapes.
Choose from built-in quilting and decorative stitch patterns.
Raise the foot without taking your hands away from the quilt.
Brother’s advanced needle-threading system helps guide the upper thread through the needle eye.
Insert the bobbin from above, follow the marked thread path and begin sewing without manually drawing the bobbin thread through the needle plate.
The transparent bobbin cover makes it easier to check the remaining thread supply.
The NV1300 reaches speeds up to 850 stitches per minute for garment construction, patchwork and long seams.
Use the electronic speed-control slider to reduce the maximum speed for curves, appliqué, beginners and detailed decorative work.
The machine can be operated with the foot controller or the start and stop button.
Fast enough for long seams while remaining controllable for detailed sewing.
The NV1300 provides a substantial sewing area while remaining relatively portable for an advanced machine.
Its approximately 9.7kg weight makes it practical for sewing groups, classes and retreats.
The supplied hard case protects the machine during storage and transport.
The Brother Innov-is NV1300 is a domestic computerised sewing and quilting machine. It does not embroider.
Its five lettering fonts are feed-through sewing patterns rather than hoop-based embroidery fonts.
The standard regional package does not include the wide extension table, walking foot, 1/4-inch piecing foot or free-motion quilting foot. These are available separately.
The 210mm measurement refers to the physical space between the needle and machine tower. An optional table increases fabric support but does not increase the throat opening.
The Square Feed Drive System provides strong domestic fabric feeding. It is not an industrial walking-foot, needle-feed or compound-feed mechanism.
The machine can sew normal garment denim, quilting cotton, layered fabric and many bag materials with the correct needle, thread and settings.
Heavy leather, thick webbing, upholstery assemblies and continuous commercial production require an appropriate industrial machine.
