260 × 160mm embroidery area
Create large motifs, quilt blocks, names and decorative layouts with fewer rehooping limitations.
Sew garments, piece quilts, customise decorative stitches and create large personalised embroidery with one highly capable machine. The Brother Innov-is NV2700 combines 291 sewing stitches, 258 embroidery designs, a 260 × 160mm embroidery field, wireless design transfer and intelligent fabric control with an outstanding included accessory package.
The Innov-is NV2700 is designed for creators who want much more than a basic sewing and embroidery combination machine.
In sewing mode, it provides advanced fabric handling, a large 210mm workspace, automatic presser-foot functions, sideways feeding, knee-lift control and an extensive package of garment and quilting feet.
Attach the embroidery unit and create designs measuring up to 260 × 160mm using the built-in library, Artspira, wireless computer transfer or compatible files loaded through USB.
The large colour touchscreen, LED positioning pointer and automatic thread-management systems make both sewing and embroidery easier to control.
The NV2700 includes an unusually comprehensive selection of accessories for garment sewing, patchwork, quilting, free-motion work and machine embroidery.
Create large motifs, quilt blocks, names and decorative layouts with fewer rehooping limitations.
Brother’s AHA system maintains suitable presser-foot pressure as fabric thickness changes.
The presser foot lifts automatically while the needle remains down for precise turns and appliqué.
Transfer compatible embroidery designs wirelessly from a mobile device or Windows computer.
Project the approximate needle-drop position onto the fabric before embroidery begins.
Cut the upper and bobbin threads during sewing and trim compatible embroidery jump stitches.
Feed fabric sideways in supported directions for patching, decorative work and difficult areas.
Manage quilt layers, slippery fabrics, matched patterns and difficult material combinations.
The NV2700 provides approximately 210mm of horizontal space and 104mm of height within the sewing area.
This gives quilt blocks, bag panels, home décor and bulky garment sections more room to move beneath the machine arm.
The compact faceplate improves access and visibility around the needle when changing feet, needles and thread.
Use the 125mm colour touchscreen to select sewing stitches, edit embroidery designs, enter lettering and review machine recommendations.
Embroidery designs can be viewed in realistic colour and edited before stitching begins.
Built-in tutorials provide on-screen guidance for threading, bobbin preparation, presser feet and common machine functions.
Approximately 10 × 6 inches of creative space for large motifs, quilt blocks, appliqué and personalised layouts.
The 260 × 160mm embroidery field provides substantially more creative room than a basic 100 × 100mm machine.
Larger names, detailed florals, quilt blocks and multi-element layouts can be completed in one hooping when they fit inside the available field.
A second 180 × 130mm hoop is included for medium-sized projects where the largest frame is unnecessary.
The NV2700 stitches embroidery at speeds up to 850 stitches per minute, helping larger and denser designs finish efficiently.
The machine automatically controls hoop movement, stitch formation and colour-stage stopping.
As a single-needle machine, it pauses at each colour change so the upper thread can be replaced with the next colour.
Begin creating immediately with a large built-in library covering decorative, floral, modern, animal, quilting and appliqué-inspired styles.
Ten frame shapes can be combined with 14 stitch patterns to create 140 decorative frame combinations.
Additional compatible embroidery designs can be imported wirelessly or through USB.
Add names, dates, initials, numbers and messages as true machine embroidery.
Lettering can be resized, curved, spaced and combined with decorative designs or frame patterns before stitching.
Personalise clothing, towels, bags and children’s items.
Create initials for gifts, linen and home accessories.
Add the maker, date and a personal message.
Create names and branding from compatible embroidery files.
The included Embroidery Foot U+ projects a red positioning light onto the project beneath the needle.
This helps confirm where the first stitches will land and makes it easier to align designs with seams, markings or existing decorative elements.
Connect the NV2700 to a compatible wireless network and transfer embroidery designs without repeatedly carrying a USB drive between devices.
Brother Artspira supports compatible mobile design browsing, personalisation and transfer.
Design Database Transfer allows supported embroidery files to be organised and sent from a compatible Windows computer.
Wireless transfer requires a compatible Wi-Fi network and supported Brother software or app. Design Database Transfer is intended for compatible Windows computers.
When several embroidery elements are combined, colour sorting can group matching thread colours and change the stitching order.
This reduces unnecessary switching back and forth between the same colours and can make multi-element layouts faster to complete.
It is particularly useful when repeating one motif several times within the same hoop.
Utility, stretch, quilting, decorative and lettering options for serious everyday sewing.
Remove the embroidery unit and use the NV2700 as a spacious computerised sewing and quilting machine.
The stitch library includes utility, stretch, overcasting, quilting, heirloom, satin, decorative and sideways-feed patterns.
Five sewing fonts add names, labels and decorative text using ordinary feed-through stitching.
Brother’s Automatic Height Adjuster senses changes in fabric thickness and helps maintain suitable presser-foot pressure.
This supports more consistent stitch length and feeding as the machine moves from a single layer into thicker seams or quilted sections.
Manual presser-foot pressure adjustment remains available when a particular fabric or sewing technique requires it.
When pivot mode is active, the needle stops lowered in the fabric and the presser foot rises automatically.
Rotate or reposition the project with both hands, then resume sewing and allow the foot to lower automatically.
This is especially valuable for appliqué, quilting, bag making, top stitching and detailed garment work.
Supported straight and zigzag stitches can feed the fabric forwards, backwards and sideways.
This allows stitching to be added in areas where turning or rotating the entire project is difficult.
Sew around compact repairs without constantly rotating the garment.
Reach awkward corners and structured sections more easily.
Create wider feed-through stitch effects using side movement.
Add stitching where turning the full project is inconvenient.
Brother’s longer seven-point feed system maintains broad contact with the underside of the fabric throughout the feeding cycle.
The square motion helps move the fabric evenly rather than allowing the feed dogs to drop away too early.
Combine SFDS with Automatic Height Adjuster or the included walking foot for excellent control over a wide variety of materials.
The NV2700 arrives ready for patchwork, straight-line quilting and free-motion work.
Use the 1/4-inch foot for accurate piecing, the walking foot for layered quilts and difficult fabrics, and the open-toe free-motion foot when guiding the project manually.
The knee lift raises the presser foot without requiring your hands to leave the fabric.
This is particularly useful while aligning patchwork, positioning appliqué, managing quilt layers and matching difficult seams.
Place the button into Buttonhole Foot A and the machine uses it to establish the required buttonhole length.
The full buttonhole is sewn automatically in one continuous operation, helping produce consistent sizing across a garment.
My Custom Stitch allows individual stitch points to be placed on a grid to create original sewing patterns.
Built-in and custom stitches can be edited and combined, then stored in memory for future projects.
My Custom Stitch creates feed-through sewing stitches. It is separate from embroidery digitising and does not convert artwork into filled embroidery designs.
Follow the marked upper-thread route and operate the threading lever to guide the thread through the needle eye.
Insert the bobbin from above, follow the marked bobbin path and begin sewing without manually drawing the bobbin thread through the needle plate.
Upper-thread and bobbin sensors stop the machine and display a warning when a thread breaks or the bobbin becomes low.
Press the cutter button at the end of a sewing seam and the machine trims both the upper and bobbin threads.
During compatible embroidery designs, jump stitches between separate design elements can also be cut automatically.
The Brother Innov-is NV2700 is a domestic computerised sewing, quilting and single-needle embroidery machine. It is not a commercial multi-needle embroidery machine.
Its maximum embroidery area is 260 × 160mm. Designs larger than this must be reduced, split or repositioned using suitable embroidery software and techniques.
The machine changes embroidery colours manually. It stops at each colour stage so the upper thread can be changed.
Wi-Fi and Artspira functions require a compatible network, device and supported Brother software or account.
Design Database Transfer is intended for compatible Windows computers.
Good embroidery requires appropriate stabiliser, embroidery thread, bobbin thread, needle choice and secure hooping.
The NV2700 uses flat embroidery hoops and is not intended to embroider finished structured caps in the way a commercial cap-frame machine can.
The optional wide table increases fabric support around the machine bed but does not increase the physical 210mm throat-space measurement.
