Move beyond starter spools with 18 × 1000m of Madeira Polyneon No. 40. This strong, colourfast polyester machine embroidery thread is packed in a reusable Smartbox with a printed colour card and Universal embroidery needles—ready for longer designs, repeat jobs and a busy embroidery room.
This is the large-spool Madeira 8047 Smartbox. It contains eighteen 1000m spools—not the 400m spools supplied in the smaller Clear Box 8045. The colour assortment is also different, so use the exact 8047 list below.

Match the design’s colour stops to the supplied Madeira numbers and record any substitutions.
Madeira recommends NM 75–80 for standard Polyneon 40 use; refine the point and size for the fabric and machine.
Use compatible embroidery bobbin thread and select stabiliser for the fabric, design density and finished use.
Stitch the design on a stabilised offcut, checking colour order, tension and coverage before the final item.
