This is the large-spool Madeira 8047 Smartbox. It contains eighteen 1000m spools—not the 400m spools supplied in the smaller Clear Box 8045. The colour assortment is also different, so use the exact 8047 list below.

Made for embroidery that works hard

Brilliant polyester colour with strength behind every stitch

Polyneon is Madeira’s versatile 100% polyester machine embroidery thread. It combines a bright finish with high tensile and abrasion resistance, plus colourfast performance for textiles exposed to repeat washing and chlorine.

Longer embroidery runs

Each 1000m spool holds two-and-a-half times as much thread as a 400m starter spool, reducing changes on frequently used colours.

Hard-wearing polyester

High tear and abrasion resistance supports durable logos, names, motifs, appliqué and decorative stitching.

Reliable colour identification

The supplied printed Polyneon colour card helps confirm shade numbers and plan future individual-spool reorders.

A practical range for demanding projects

Choose Polyneon where embroidery will be worn and washed

Workwear and uniforms

Create company logos, names and badges on garments that need regular laundering and dependable colour.

Sports and outdoor clothing

A strong polyester option for active textiles exposed to friction, frequent use and repeated washing.

Children’s clothing and accessories

Add durable lettering and colourful motifs to garments, bags and projects made for everyday use.

Towels, bags and repeat designs

The larger spools are useful for monograms, team sets, small production runs and colours used across many designs.

Madeira Polyneon Smartbox FAQs

Which colours are included?
Madeira’s 8047 filling plan contains 1815, 1839, 1922, 1675, 1843, 1977, 1866, 1971, 1678, 1748, 1851, 1670, 1803, 1938, 1659, 1801, 1918 and 1800. The colour images above follow the exact filling-plan order.
Can I choose or swap the colours?
No. Article 8047 is supplied as one fixed 18-colour assortment. Individual shades cannot be selected or substituted in this listing.
Are the spools really 1000m each?
Yes. The Smartbox contains eighteen full-size 1000m spools, giving 18,000m of Polyneon 40 in total.
How is this different from the 18 × 400m Clear Box?
Smartbox 8047 has 1000m on each spool, 18,000m total, and includes a printed colour card and embroidery needles. Clear Box 8045 uses smaller 400m Snapspools, totals 7200m and has a different colour selection.
Will Polyneon work in my embroidery machine?
Polyneon 40 is made for machine embroidery. Check that your domestic or industrial machine can accommodate the 1000m spool format and follow its manual for spool support, threading and needle guidance.
Is bobbin thread included?
No. The set includes the 18 coloured Polyneon top threads, printed colour card, Universal embroidery needles and Smartbox. Select compatible embroidery bobbin thread separately.
Is it suitable for washable projects?
Yes. Madeira develops Polyneon for strong colourfastness and resistance to washing and chlorine, making it useful for frequently laundered textiles. Always follow the lowest care limit among the fabric, stabiliser and other project materials.
Can I reorder a colour when it runs out?
Yes, subject to shade availability. Record the four-digit Madeira number from the spool or printed colour card, because that is more reliable than a descriptive colour name.
