Groz-Beckert 135x17 / DPx17 GEBEDUR needles combine a familiar industrial system with a titanium-nitride surface coating. The coating helps resist wear around the point and eye during demanding sewing. Choose the appropriate size for your compatible walking-foot or bartack machine, then test the complete material and thread combination.

Compatible bartack work
Confirm both the system and the size range in the machine documentation. A reinforced seam still needs correct stitch settings, thread and fabric support.

Before you start
- Check the machine’s complete needle system and size range. Choose the point and size for your fabric and thread.
- Switch off and isolate the machine as instructed. Install the needle fully, in the orientation specified by the manual.
- Sew a sample with the intended layers and thread. Check stitch formation and fabric marking before continuing.
GEBEDUR is a coating, not a compatibility designation or a guarantee against breakage. Do not treat these as DPx35 needles or assume a leather-cutting point is supplied.
Good to know
Are these needles made from solid titanium?
No. GEBEDUR describes a titanium-nitride surface coating used to increase wear protection; it does not mean the needle is solid titanium.
Can the coating fix a wrong needle size?
No. System, point, size and installation still have to suit the machine, thread and material. Replace damaged needles even if they are coated.
