Raw-edge shell binder for walking-foot sewing machines
Also known as a K2 raw-edge binder, this single-fold attachment guides tape around thicker material on a compatible walking-foot setup.
Read the size as tape feed width × opening. The first number is the width of the tape entering the binder. The second is the opening for the material being bound—not the finished binding width.
- Options: 25 × 5mm, 25 × 7mm, 25 × 8mm, 22 × 6mm, 38 × 8mm and 40 × 8mm.
- Example: 25 × 8mm means 25mm tape feed and an 8mm opening.
- Mounting: check the machine's binder fixing points, presser foot and needle clearance.
Material compressibility, tape thickness and the feeding setup affect the result. Confirm suitability for your actual materials instead of relying on the opening dimension alone.
