Working grid versus overall size: the printed cutting areas measure 45 x 30cm and 18 x 12 inches. The complete mat is approximately 47 x 32cm, so allow a little extra room around the grid when checking your table or storage space.

Correct storage prevents permanent warping
Self-healing does not mean heat-proof or warp-proof. OLFA states that rotary mats must be stored flat, so give this mat a cool, fully supported storage space.
- Store the mat flat and never roll it.
- Keep it away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Do not leave it in a hot or cold vehicle.
- Never iron on the mat or place hot tools on it.
- Clean with mild detergent on a soft, damp cloth.
- Move repeated cuts around the surface to avoid permanent grooves.
- Use a lint roller, heavy tape or art gum eraser to lift trapped fibres.
- Keep pins, needles and loose objects clear of the cutting path.

Does this mat have both metric and imperial grids?
Yes. One face has a 45 x 30cm metric grid and the other has an 18 x 12 inch imperial grid.
Is 45 x 30cm the complete outside size?
No. The 45 x 30cm measurement describes the metric cutting grid. The full mat is approximately 47 x 32cm.
Is this a rotating cutting mat?
No. It is a standard flat double-sided mat. You can turn it over to change measurement systems, but it does not sit on a rotating base.
Is the reverse side plain?
No. The reverse is printed with the second measurement system. This is useful when you work in both centimetres and inches.
What does self-healing mean?
The soft cutting surface is designed to close after normal rotary cuts, helping fine cut lines become much less noticeable. Repeatedly cutting the same place can still form a permanent groove.
Can I use an art knife or utility knife?
This RM-IC-C is specifically presented by OLFA as a rotary mat for use with OLFA rotary cutters. For best results and surface life, use a rotary blade and a suitable cutting ruler.
Can I iron on the mat?
No. Heat can permanently warp a cutting mat. Keep irons, hot tools, direct sunlight and extreme temperatures away from it, and always store it flat.
