Why rotating the mat feels easier
Repeatedly lifting a block or leaning around the table can disturb measurements and move carefully aligned fabric. RM-12S lets the work remain on the grid while you bring each cutting edge towards your natural hand position.

Protect the flat rotating surface
Correct storage prevents permanent warping
Self-healing does not mean heat-proof or warp-proof. OLFA states that a warped mat cannot be flattened again, so storage and cleaning matter.
- Store the mat flat and never roll it.
- Keep it away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Do not leave it in a hot or cold vehicle.
- Never iron on the mat or place hot tools on it.
- Clean gently with mild detergent on a soft, damp cloth.
- Move repeated cuts around the surface to avoid permanent grooves.
- Remove trapped fibres with a lint roller, strong tape or art gum eraser.

Can I use a craft knife on it?
No. OLFA specifies this rotating mat for rotary blades only. Fixed blades and art knives can cut too deeply and damage the surface.
