This DOUBLE Compensating Foot is supplied in the selected size and is used for uniform and precise top stitching. This Foot can be used for BOTH Right or LEFT Top stitching. These feet are called "COMPENSATING" because the edge guide is spring loaded to Compensate for different thicknesses of fabric. The 1/16" option is the most popular and commonly used top stitch size for apparel.
