Do Square Knitting Needles Change Your Gauge?
Unlike some square knitting needles, ChiaoGoo QUADS are specifically calibrated to match the gauge produced by a round ChiaoGoo needle of the same marked size. If your pattern requires a 4.00mm needle, you can begin with the 4.00mm QUADS tips rather than automatically choosing a larger size.
Individual knitting tension can still vary, so we always recommend making a gauge swatch before beginning a fitted garment or other gauge-sensitive project.
10cm Tips for Compact Circular Needles
The 10cm / 4" tip length is shorter than a standard 13cm interchangeable tip, making it a useful choice for hats, sleeves, children’s garments, necklines and other smaller-circumference projects.
When paired with a compatible 20cm / 8" cable, two 10cm tips create an approximately 40cm / 16" circular knitting needle.
